Sustainable LED lighting provider Greenled is in talks with a number of businesses in the North West of England, in addition to running product trials in two Liverpool hotels. The first is a well known chain hotel, Liverpool's Radisson SAS, and the second is the boutique Hope Street Hotel and London Carriage Works Restaurant, in the city centre.
Facilities management staff at both properties are trialling a selection of Greenled LEDs in high energy usage areas: bedroom and corridors. Greenled's GU10 Antares lamps are proving just as effective as the halogen downlighters they've replaced, but use 90% less energy.
Greenled is also in talks with the Jurys Inns Hotel Group, who has agreed to a trial in its Manchester property. Manchester University has also agreed to a trial; in its university museum. In addition to energy and cost savings, Greenled LEDs emit very little heat and contain no UV light - both of which can spoil museum artefacts. The trial date will be scheduled upon completion of an energy audit.
